Ok, I was in my ECET lab the other day and started talking about amps and whatnot, and my TA says, "You're into car audio right?" I said, "Yeah."

T.A., "Well do you know who Hifonics is?"

Me, "Yeah"

T.A., "Well I have an amp I got from a guy. He was going to throw it out so I just got it for free. It says Zeus Five on it. I don't know the power ratings on it, and I tried emailing the company about it and never got a response."

So basically I an wondering what the ratings are on an old Zeus V. I checked ampguts already, the Zeus VI doesn't have any ratings, but the Zeus VII and VIII are both

2 x 300W @ 4 ohms

2 x 450W @ 2 ohms

1 x 900W @ 4 ohms bridged

So I am assuming that is the ratings for his. And also, would this be a collectors item seeing as it is pretty **** old.

I used to sell these. The maximum on the Zues V amp is 600W. (maximum, period, ect) ... The VII and VIII did 900w. Before using the Zues amp, I recommend that you replace the caps. The V series was made in 1990-91 or so. We sold VII in 93, and VIII in 94. The V series is ok. Not bad for free, but get the caps replaced or it will go out, catch fire, ect. Hope this info helps. If you are ever needing old-school car audio info, pm me. I have lots and lots of info...
