Hifonics Zeus ZXi60.4+1K 5-channel Amp

I'm dead set on the Hifonics Zeus ZXi60.4+1K 5-channel amplifier for upgrading my new system. I'm not sure how much total power this thing pushes. The specs can be seen here: Audio Savings | HIFONICS ZEUS ZXI60.4+1K BEST 5 CHANNEL AMPLIFIER EVER!

Should I get an upgraded car battery?

How will this affect my alternator?

Would a capacitor be necessary?

i would definately run 1/0 to it.

make sure your big 3 is done in 1/0, make sure you have GOOD grounds in the front and back, and consider getting a beefier batt for under the hood.

Done deal on the 1/0 gauge.. I found a sweet deal on Amazon.

Instead of a stronger battery, do you think a 2.0 Farad capacitor would suffice? I'm not sure why everyone seems to hate caps. Thanks man.

2 farad isn't big enough.

i don't hate caps but there worthless unless your electrical is pretty much up to snuf. This amp isn't enormous so you can probably get away with using one.

if i use a cap i try to use 2 farad's per 1kw class d and 3F for a/b(which your amp is).

with that, you should have at lest a 4F cap.
