well thats TO MUCH power for a single AQ 15, depends on what you can spend. DD 9918 would work, pair of AQ hd2-12s would be your best bet with that power.

i'd look for a pair of 05 XXX's..cant go wrong with them. What about treo SSX? a little pricey but should sound really good and get silly loud with the power you have

2500 rms is a bit to much for an 05 xxx... maybe an 06, but two of those are way out of my price range.. how much do the treo subs run?

What do you mean by not musical, have you heard a BTL?

If you mean not being able to produce great sounding low frequency's with strong authority in the 30hz-33hz range then I would hafta say your correct, they arn't musical.

I'm feeding an 18" BTL 2000+rms in 7 cubes at 32hz with 100sq.in. of port and it doesnt hit for shit around 30-33hz although it does get hella loud past 38hz. It sounds decent to the ear on music and still has better SQ then a 12" solo-x that I heard in 5 cubes @ 36hz off 3krms, but overall I'm not real happy with it's ability to hit the real low notes.

I guess it could just be box design thats preventing me from hitting the lows I want. I kinda want to buy that 18" RE XXX for sale here and do a drop in test to see how BTL compares to XXX.

My buddy has (2) 3500rms Visonik amps that he is going to bring by my house that I'm going to connect to the BTL to see if that will help bring out the lows. I'm also going to build 8.5cuft box tuned at 30hz to see if this helps.

The above is just my opinion on my 18" BTL not a 12" or 15" they could sound totally different.

I can also get my hands on a tc sounds 15" 5200 with upgrades, do you think that would outpreform 2 hd312's?.. and i do want something that will destroy the lows..

open up your port... 7 should be enough but i would do more port area ESP if your gonna tune that low...
