Hifonics Wiring Subs

So Iam going to get 2 12" Subs with dual 2 voice coils. My question is can I wire each one to 1 ohm and hook it up to the amp? Its a hifonics brutus 1605 the new black ones and its stable at 1ohm. The reason is because it has two positive and negative inputs were I can hook up the subs.

The reason for the dual output terminals on your amp is merely for ease in conecting multiple subs to it (rather than trying to cram a crapload of wire into one set of terminals they give you two sets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)

A pair of DVC 2 Ohm subs can be wired together to either .5 Ohm, 2 Ohm, or 8 Ohm together and you aren't going to be able to achieve a 1 Ohm nominal load with the drivers you are looking to get.

If you haven't purchased the subs yet then get the Dual 4 Ohm version instead and then you can get a final 1 Ohm load to get the most power from your amp.
