Hifonics Sucks

I've heard good things about the BX series, but the newer bxi line leaves a lot to be desired.

i had a bxi2006d personally, and i wasn't happy with it at all

the price was right, and it ran nice and cool, but it didn't put out much power at all

Got my amp and sub hooked up today Now the light comes on the amp but Theres a pop noise when the rca's hooked up.
THATS IT!!! JUST A POP?

MANN i payed 175 but i guess thats what i pay for.

I'M stuck with a amp that dosent work.

IT HAS NO OUTPUT:mad: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
Not a reason to hate a company.

Ive heard guys bias towards BX an BXi, hopefully 07 models will be accurate, even underrated.......

the guy just told me there should only be two rcas hooked up.
INTO THE INPUTS none in the outputs on my amp.??????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

is that corect?
i mean this with the utmost respect but...if you have to ask a question like that you should NOT be installing any piece of car audio.

I was searching on here looking for some info on hifonics amp and I came across this thread. This has to be the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a while. First off you go to a shop and have them install your system and you pay apparently before they have installed the equipment, then you leave knowing that the shit doesnt work. I just dont see any normal thinking person doing that. Next time kid either let them install it first then pay or buy your stuff elsewhere and install it yourself its all just a matter of connecting a few simple wires read more and learn to do it.

On post 41, it was determined that it was a bad ground and not the amp.

The amp works fine.

I hate when people make a post like this and when they found it really wasn't the amp, they don't delete the post.

I even sent this kid a PM and asked to ateast change his topic title...he didn't

Oh, and you should NEVER take out an RCA while the head unit or amplifier has power. This can severly damage the outputs on the HU, and the amplifier.
Is this true? The installer at the audio store took RCAs out of the amp while the music was playing, he put it back and nothing seemed wrong.

It doesn't automatically damage anything, but it definetely can! If the middle part of the RCA touches anything metal, it will ground it out and can burn the outputs of the HU.
