Got my amp and sub hooked up today Now the light comes on the amp but Theres a pop noise when the rca's hooked up.

THATS IT!!! JUST A POP?

MANN i payed 175 but i guess thats what i pay for.

I'M stuck with a amp that dosent work.

so contact who you bought it from and claim warranty work on it (assuming you bought it new and authorized). unless you bought it used, then you can either sell it as is, or have it repaired at your expense.

and yes, hook it up right before you claim warranty.

Yes i had the audio shop hook it up and theres NO output power what so ever but i bought it new but with no warranty:uhoh:

Yea they hooked it up and said this kind of thing is rare.

he hooked it to some meter and it read 00.1-2

then hooked it somewhere else it read 01.5-6

sorry to hear that,

I would suggest next amp is an old school hifonics like the vii or the viii or even the gen x series. New stuff is not like the old stuff.

well dont bash on a product because of installer error. hifonics used to make good amps and still make decent ones...

Looks like their playing you for a fool... I'm pretty sure they test out amplifiers before shipping them out. Hence the term, "bench test" so they don't send out faulty amplifers for sale. Buy and amplifier off the net, and install it yourself. They already ran the wires, so any idiot with a allen wrench can install it. Just remember to take the fuse out, and disconnect the negative terminal so you don't F_ck up your amp.

Better yet, try to have them replace your amplifer for faulty installation.
