yeah thats what i was affaid of...but anything that will pound the subs good ill get...like imthinkin bout just gettin a hifonics amp and being done with it. you cant go wrong with those

ap30001 is 2 ohm stable but you have to see it you have enough room for it

I don't know about all the - stuff said about the BAMF. I own 1 and my good friend owns one and it has gobs of power for my 2 DB Drives PLW's. Gets mad loud and does it without heating up too bad and i o my friend haven't had any issues with them yet. I give the 5500/d 2 thumbs up from experience. That's just me though. I have never had any good luck with my 2 hifoniks amps i owned in my life, they were back in the 90's and blew them both. I am 35 and have had alot of different stereo set ups, DD,RF,MTX,Jensen, Eclipse,Alpine,Kenwood,etc. etc. and so far this amp to me is the best bang for the buck. I wish i had a way to test it, but i don't.

Apparently this forum has written them off, but the BAMF boards look solid to me. It's a crapshoot on power though.

The 5500d has 200A worth of fusing so I'm guessing right around 2kw at min (1 ohm) impedance.

I would expect about rated power at 2 ohms for your L7's (750w each), and running at higher than min. imp can only be a plus for the amp.

And under budget with a 1 yr mfg warranty.

the BAMF's are alright. I ran mine at 1/2 ohm and toasted it though. Sent it to ampjunkielikeme and he fixed it for me. He said he was really impressed for a PA amp and it looks rather beefy.

I think i read on another forum that it has the same insides as the PA a3000db amp and if that's true, that amp put out around 2300 watts rms all day long.

The BAMF's are completely different designs from anything PA has ever produced.
