Hifonics or Orion or WHAT??

I am purchasing 2 12' Type-R Alpine's and am looking for an Amp to do these subs justice.

The Subs are RMS 500 W and max 1500W

Now basically i am looking for any input on Amp suggestions. Has anyone hooked these up with a specific amp that kicked ***. Anybody have any amps they just love.. so far i've heard a couple suggestions of the following..

Hifonics BX1605D BRUTUS

Orion 1200D

What should I do?? My price range is anywhere from 200-500 but I don't want to spend more than i have too!!!

im guessing that they are dual 4's...in that case i would go with the orion...hifonics are usually overrated while orions usually are underrated...

Dual 4-ohm voice coils ... but remember I'm not stuck between only these two amps!

So if these Subs are 500 W RMS a piece.. 1000WRMS for the whole system.. Do i need to be looking at a mono amp with 1000WRMS for 1 ohm, 2 ohm, or 4 ohm???

Either 1ohm or 4ohm. You can wire them both ways.

@ 4ohms the amp will produce less power.

Orion is teh Muda F-in 1.

I have 2 05 alpine type r's and an orion 1200d, they take it with ease.

Thats a funny, cause my friend has the orion 1200d, and I have the hifonics 1605d, I'd say output wise they will be the same, you wont really beable to tell the difference in sound between the 2. (the difference between 1200 - 1400watts would be no audio difference)

Mine prob does an easy 1300 - 1400+ @ 12volts, but thats just a guess.
