The Brutus series be Hifonics showed a lot of flaws only months after they became a forum boner last year. Turns out not all of them did rated power, and neither were all of them 1 ohm stable. =\ IMO, Directed is just better build quality.

hifonics struggles to make rated power whereas with directed you know you'll atleast get the rated rms power and a little more.

is that at ikesound? might want to call and check to make sure they still have it before you order. $175 for an amp that will do 1200 watts rms and is decent quality would be considered a good deal in my book.

I've never used a Directed amp, but my Brutus took a shit on a one ohm load, so I can't recommend it.

directed my brutus 1605 didnt even do 800 rms at 2ohms it was suppose to do1100 the bass knob quit working and the gay led on top burned out a real crappy amp but i love the atlas square subs good luck with whatever ya get.....
