Hifonics HFI1000.1D?

Looking for a new amp to power my 2 JL 12W6v1's. Would this amp do the job? Or is there a reason HiFonics amps are relatively cheap in the amplifier market?

That series isn't great. Probably won't do rated power.

i really wasnt impressed with the hfi 2000, it was a alright amp none the less.
