Too bad no one on ebay is selling the Goliath. I can't get maxxsonics to respond to my direct inquiries. I'd rather buy direct from Maxxsonics if they'd let me. There are no dealers in my area and I'd really like to get either a colossus or a Goliath. I am kind of leary about buying a colossus because I am going to do burps at .35 ohms mono on whichever of the two choices I have listed and 1.4 ohms daily. I am just worried that the colossus will not like .35 ohms mono even on burps?? Anyone have any experience doing this??

bthnfan has owned a few, so he knows what he's talking about...from what ive read on termpro, .35 seems to be the lowest it likes..but, it will do it.

have you tried calling maxxsonics? id assume they'd give the best price.

Oh I wasn't doubting what he was saying, I just knew that there was more than one person with experience so I just wanted to see what everyone said about what I'm trying to do. A guy here in my town that is a pretty serious competitor said that he's seen folks roll the knob with the Colossus @ .25 ohms. I don't know if I'd be that brave.

I haven't tried calling maxxsonics, but I guess I should in light of the fact that I haven't heard anything back on my e-mail inquiry.

Roll the volume knob? Ok.

Yea as in if you normally burp at volume 20, it wont do it by going there, pausing it, and then hitting play.

You have to start at volume 1 and "roll it".

Somebody help me, John Studley with Maxxsonics wouldn't help me at all and I really would like to buy one of these amps.

Find a hifonics dealer near you and tell them you want to buy the amp.

I actually found a site that sells the Goliath and Colossus http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5606.html, but the good folks at Maxxsonics said that if I buy either amp from there that I am on my own (Meaning I will have NO warranty with Maxxsonics). To add even more interesting info to this post they went on to tell me that no internet sales are authorized by Maxxsonics corporation and that if you can't provide a real sales receipt from one of their dealers you have no warranty.
