They originally defined badass. Depending on what version you are looking at, they were the first 1kW+ car amp ever made and were built like a brick shithouse. 300Wx2, 1200W bridged. That was the series VII

There was a later version that was a mono amp and not as powerful IIRC.

badass would be a understatement of this amp can do. My cousin had one of these on 4 18inch kicker comp. and he did not even have the gain on half way. you could not sit inside the truck. this amp does 2k watts and then alot more. keep it and put whatever on it. use good woofers though.

the gen XX colossus will do 2400 watts. i had one ordered at one time, but changed my mind. local audio shop was getting it for me. they are pretty badass, and do all that power for sure. you will have to pay a pretty penny for it though.

its a x1 it puts out 1200 by 2 @1 ohm or 2400x1 @2ohm i define badass as doing what it says.. and iam getting it brand new for 600 bucks

are you saying its a gen X1? if so, the catalogue i have direct from hifonics/maxxsonic the manufacturer is incorrect in every element. cause its a gen XX catalogue.

just checked my brochure, i posted incorrectly. here are the specs for the genXX colossus:

1/2 ch operation

2X600 rms @ 4 ohm

2X900 rms @2 ohms

2X1200 rms @1 ohm

1X1800 rms @4 ohm

1X2800 rms @2 ohm

if i could get the ****ed digicam to function i'd take pics of the brochure. (had friends earlier, cant get pics e-mailed to my comp) (she's on a diff os or i'd just save to disc/cd)

they also have a new d-class hercules puts out up to 2000X1 @ 1 ohm

i might get the gen XX posiedon 5 ch. 4X110(2 ohm) + 1X440 dclass (4 ohm)
