Hifonics BXI1206D Shut Down.

My amp shut off, the protect light came on and would not turn back on. I tried everything to get it going again and nothing. I took it to the place where I got everything installed and after checking everything out they said the amp was bad. I've had it for almost a month. What could have caused this? I was pushing two 12" Type Rs. Didn't have it turned up that loud. I've listened to it loud for a while and it wouldn't even get hot. I sent it back since it is still under warranty, but I'm afraid that this will just happen again. Anyone have any ideas as to why this happened? I'm hoping it was just a bad amp.

low voltage, high gain, bass boost, poor ventilation, etc.

All those are good. I'm sticking with a bad amp. I guess we'll see when it comes back.

probably a faulty amp... hifonics might not put out it's rated RMS but their amps are solid in terms of durability
