Hifonics bxi 2010d remote level knob

Was wondering about that "HFR-3 Module" that comes with my bxi2010d. It says it's for level adjustment...does it go off of what my level is set at the back, then just adjusts in that range? Or if I crank it, is it the same as cranking the level in the back all the way up? Another question about the remote module thing, does it just stay green when all is good and go red when it's in protect mode? It'd be great if it offered some sort of clipping indication on it, like going amber or something.

I've posted this on the maxxsonics forum a while ago, but they must be too busy or don't care! Even emailed their tech support, with no answer. it will adjust within the range of your settings on the amp. and it is green when its all good and red when in protect

Sweet, the book doesn't really specify...guess it should just be common sense.

Was hoping the remote knob would also display the flashing light when there is a hard clip, as I believe the green light on the amp itself will flash if there is a hard clip. Too bad they didn't implement that into the remote knob....guess you just have to get their nicer stuff!!
