Will this amp survive running at 1 ohm, and will it be difficult to keep a clean signal to the subs(un-clipped)? OR shall I run it 2 ohm, and sacrafice the power??

My bxi1205D (05 model) ran cool to the touch all the time wired to 1 ohm. I had my gains set @ 4.5 volts, to match my hu. It is a fine amp,might do just a hair shy of rated, but I doubt you will notice a 100 to 150 watt difference in sound IMO. What subs are you running on it?

clipping is a function of poor volume knob/gain control. It will run as 'clean' at 1 ohm as it will at 4 as long as you set it up right and use some common sense with the HU volume.
