Hifonics BXi 1206D????

wats up guys i was wondering if i could get some input from the board. I have two 12" type r's (4 ohm) and i was thinkin about getting the amp above to power them. I have a budget of $300 to $350 and i'm lookin to run these subs at a 1 ohm load. so i would appreciate any ideas of amps i could use thanks.

I can't speak for that amp specifically but i've got a Hifonics amp in my car and I love it. Cheap, powerful, and appears to be well built.

*EDIT* after looking around, people seem to have mixed opinions about hifonics. Mine runs fine, but then again i'm running it at 8 ohms, we shall see later if it holds up when i'm running 2.

I am looking for an amp for what will probably be the sub you have. I have compiled a list of cheap-ish amps that people on these forums have recommended.

I have heard good things about kenwoods entry level amps and Ma audio as well.

Youl find lots of opinions.

For your budget, you could do a lot better.......check out the classifieds, good stuff in there.

I would also recommend an ED 9.1- three year warranty is good to have.

i wouldn'y touch a 9.1 with a 500ft poll but it's not b/c of the amp it's b/c of the douchebag owner. it's a good amp i suppose. if it's what ya want get it, if not look into the classifieds i saw a matts amp rolling around there a while back.

can save you $40 on that amp if you get it here. I have used ALOT of Hifonics amps now in my cars and client cars... They work great... good cheap power.

i can get two of those bxi 1206d's for 420 out the door, and i installedthem for a friend running 2 12" 06 L7's sounds veryyyy nice.
