do you guys think that this amp would run two 12inch kicker L7s at 1 ohm good.....I was gonna get two but if it will give them a beating i will get one.

i personally don't like hifonics. don't do rated power and don't like running at 1 ohm. don't know if they changed but my old brutus sucked.

Supposedly they have redesigned the Brutus line and they are supposed to be much better now. We'll see, my BX1000D is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

I have an older Hifonics amp (from '97 or so) that has been nothing but excellent.

good luck with the hifonics i had trouble with my 1605 and sold it the bass control went bad and it didnt put out the power it is suppose to do i think its overated .. i just bought a alpine mdr m1005 v12 and it blows the hifonics away?? BUT I DO LOVE MY HIFONICS ATLAS 12" SQUARE SUBS GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR AMP SOME WORK FINE BUT OTHERS ?? i put mine on the bench at sound decision in montgomeryil and it did 735 on the bench at 14.4 volts and at 2 ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

yeah that amp should be ok for 2 L7s they take 600rms. i have a bx605 and it does 600 @1ohm. sounds good

I should be fine with the BX1000D. It's rated at 1000rms @ 1 ohm. I'm running 2 MA Audio 120XE's which are rated at 350rms each. So, if the Hifonics amp is a bit overrated, that's fine. Anything is better than this 760W Pioneer amp I'm currently running. What a piece. First, it started fading in and out. Now, it's fading in and out, but even when it will power on, it's not putting out much power at all because the subs are barely moving. I knew I would eventually have to upgrade the amp because the subs would be underpowered by it, but I thought it would last more than the two weeks that it did. Pitiful. However, it was a freebie, so whatever.
