I've heard that the hifonics amps are over rated when it comes to power. So does any one know how much power the Hifonics BX1605D really puts out?

I'm not really sure, (I have one btw) but they do pretty close to rated power and they're not a bad amp. IF i were to guess (comparing to my friends orion 1200d) both amps were equally loud.

(I don't think you can hear a 2 - 500 watt difference)

There a good budget amp and you wont be disapointed. How much power did/do you need?

you can get a viper 1200.1 on ebay right now for 259.00 shipped. its a refurb though

in the amp birthsheet thread the hifonics 1500d appears that it will do about 1000wrms in a normal in car environment. Id get a better amp...

the 1500d was the amp with problems, supposely it was corrected with the 1605d amp....

well I dont know how much mine puts out but once again head to head against an orion 1200d I could NOT tell an audiable difference.... the 1605d is better than the previous (1500) model.

They are a solid inexpensive amp. Mine never got hot, never went into protect, AND was **** loud. If your on a budget you won't be disapointed.

If your looking for an amp that is decent, inexpensive, and will give you lots of power look at the pa 2400db, and the a3000db. I know alot of people will talk sh*t, but until you have tried one then dont talk. I and numerous forum members will back these ups fully.
