hifonics brutus 1800 or MA audio HK2000

Curious if you have the electrical system to handle 1600w+ RMS?? No point in spending the money on an amp that big if you can't properly power it.

Also keep in mind that just because the sub is rated 1600w RMS, you don't need to give it all of it. Anything 1100w+ would be good. DEI, Viper and Orion all have good 1200w+ amps in the $300 range. Also try to find a Cadence A7+HC, 1400w+ @ 1ohm, and usually go for around $300. Or the Elemental Designs Nine.1....I heard Ben has some B-stock that he is sell for $275 each. Good deal on a 1200w amp

ok..first the minium you want to put to that is a amp that says 1500rms,14.4v.

even if the amp says these specs you'll''never'' hit that unless you keep it turned up over 90%....while this sub is under warrenty use it till it explodes.....then guess what? free new sub.......after you get 2 or 3 new subs they might warn you to stop coming back.then baby it..but until then,,,party on ,dude!

as long as your under the warrenty power.its thier problem.....

these guys here sound like an old lady to me....

****its not being abused under the power limit.geez

if re doesnt like it they can quit the business!

whinny people.....

accident...anytime it breaks is an accident unless its made to break...sounds like a crappy copany to me.I'D NEVER buy from them.......

WRONG

RE isn't stupid....they can tell whether or not a sub was blown due to abuse. Read their warranty terms; They DO NOT warranty burnt coils, and they DO NOT warranty damage from abuse. If you have a driver with burnt coils or a driver that was constantly damaged physically (say, from bottoming it out), it WILL NOT be covered under warranty by RE.

What is not covered;

-- Any damages caused by abuse, improper installation, accidents, or theft
Next time think before you say something so idiotic.

Well genius....power handling is box dependent. So yes, it is totally possible to abuse a sub resulting in damage when powering it within it's RMS rating. And no, because someone is too incompetent to properly understand and use their equipment, it doesn't mean RE should eat the bill. If you never want to buy from them....that's fine, that's one less person who sends back a sub because they don't know how to properly use it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

Ever read what is says below Adire's RMS ratings?

NOTE: Power rating is thermal only! It is NOT a power requirement; typically you get full output with significantly less power than the rating.

That statement doesn't apply to only Adire products...but every speaker/sub. Most people fail to realize this though. Warranties are there to guard against defects in craftsmanship....not to allow someone to be a retard with the product, then have it residually fixed for free.

LOL.....barely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

that other reason why re wont fix thier broke sub ..is proof to my thier cheap n crap..i'd take a pioneer sub with a good warrenty over that re crap...

just admit it re subs have no warrenty unless you are using under 1000watts......

RE warranties defects in materials and craftsmanship, not customer stupidity. Blowing a coil or physically damaging the unit is not a defect in material or craftsmanship, it was a customer who doesn't know or understand how to use the product.

**** Squeak, it's like talking to a brick wall with this guy! What a dummy! If his screen name is any indication of his knowledge on car audio then he is not worth your time or effort.

LOL....yeah, I know. Main reason I respond isn't to inform him, but rather to inform all the "newbs" that may read this. That way they won't get the wrong idea and mistakenly believe what Mr. Profilepower says. Last thing we need is a bunch of newbs running around thinking they can blow whatever they like without consequence.
