Hifonics 2010D BXI stuck in protect mode, suggestions?

without the speaker terminals attached? I'm really nubby, or I could just be reading this wrong lol.
Run a jumper?

Like I get exactly what you guys are saying, just disconnect and rid of any power so it will reset, but just the obstacle is how.

Thanks for all your patience guys, you really are saving me here. I'm a little new to the whole fixing amp game here.

If nothing goes well, I've decided I'll just ship out to Tim for a rebuild //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
without any subs connected run a wire from the ground on the amp to the power. any gauge will do

its not bad but your just draimg the power from the rail caps it might work if u have issues dealing with the rail voltages but if its a short it really wont help. the amp protection is gonna sense the fault and trip. u can try it though.
Pretty much onboard with what Tim is saying but I think he is referring to the power supply input caps that are connected across the positive and negative power input terminals of the amp and not the rail caps although this may discharge both. I don't really see this fixing your issue. Sounds like you have a failure in the output section if the amp is being thrown into protect after the output relay engages.

Yep, at the amplifiers. I get the same 14.7 volt reading when they cutoff too.

Yes, they are painted. The cover is very easy to take off and repaint to whatever color of choice to match the install.
