Hifonics 2006D

I didn't like the 06 and earlier series of Hifonics Brutus amplifiers because they clipped hard and fast. I was told the BXi xx08d and xx10d series amplifiers actually produce rated power. Well they will if one can provide the 14.x volts that Hifonics rates them at.

If I were to go with Hifonics, I would go with the BXi 2010d!

i have the hifonics bxi2010d and i am not running lower than 14 volts and it dont seems good as my old bxi2005d and i compared the two motherboards and the bxi2005d looks better built

I don't have a wattage meter so I can't tell you if it puts out the rated power or not... BUT, what I can tell you is when I hooked my Brutus amp up to a subwoofer that was rated for 1000 watts RMS (PPI DCX122) and I had my Brutus amp wired for 2 ohm that was rated for 1100 watts.. The sub didn't last but for about 2 hours of play time before it caught on fire.

I don't think that they put out exactly what they are rated, but it's not too far from it.

Great budget amp!
