The 350z is a $27,000 car (cheaper than my woosy ZR2 Blazer which came in with a sticker of $29,940).. and it beats the Porche Boxster in speed, acceleration, and handling.. It gets ~21 MPG which is listed as beter than the WRX.. The 350z beat out Corvette, Porche, and the fastest ford for 2002.. *shrug* not sure what you are talking about.. it doesn't have leather standard (I don't think, and I hate leather anyway).. is said to be pretty darn decent feeling on the road (nicer suspension than 'most' sports cars).. the only problem I've read about the 350z is that it gets a bit harsh in the corners for stearing under extreame speed..

There are electric cars that can run the 1/4 mile in like 7 seconds. They produce enough torque to snap driveshafts in half. It's all in the application. These cars are built for the charge to last only a couple of miles instead of 300+.

BTW the new Subaru Impreza WRX STi is here. Check the subaru website for details. 300 hp and a driver controlled center differential. The new lancer EVO just got 0wned.

It's all about the benjamins. All major racing leagues (any that can actually afford to make techological advancements) rely on spectators for there money. They might not get money directly from spectator but in one form or another it comes from them. People don't want to see cars going around at 30 mph (that's why auto-x is not on tv) or see who can make it farther than the other without filling up (cart(?) implimented the must pit rule). Racing is (to the spectator) about obscene power, finesse and the occasional exciting crash.

NASCRAP is only popular in the states. Worldwide it's totally different. Others are more intune with racing then Americans. CART, F3000, F1, LeMans, FIA Sports Car, British Touring Car and WRC are what real racing is about. And all those drivers have Mad SKillz.

I'm a huge fan of the WRC. Watched every race during the season (I always missed sundays though because I was racing). Markko Martin is my favorite. I think he is going to do great things in the future. Can you believe the new season starts in less than a month? How cool is that! I hope Colin McRae eats shit and dies! That cocky unbelievably talented prick.

So, uh, back to the tv show, lol! That whole show is run by retards. Although that girl is probably the dumbest one of all. I remember watching that show and some stupid guy was like "Yeah, this civic has blah blah blah and these 18 inch rims with some, uh, tires." And they didn't even like redo the take or edit it or something. WTF.

That show takes alot of flack over on the speed tv forum. Supposedly the producers actually listened and are changing the show. There getting rid of everyone and bringing in a guy who actually knows what he is talking about. A former race car driver if I recall correctly. There also suppose to focus more on actual performance enhancing parts and not all the rice junk. The camera shit is suppose to be fixed too. Remember though it still will be sponsored by Pepboys. The ricers heaven. I personally don't have high hopes
