All major racing leagues (any that can actually afford to make techological advancements) rely on spectators for there money. They might not get money directly from spectator but in one form or another it comes from them. People don't want to see cars going around at 30 mph (that's why auto-x is not on tv) or see who can make it farther than the other without filling up (cart(?) implimented the must pit rule). Racing is (to the spectator) about obscene power, finesse and the occasional exciting crash.</p></blockquote><p></p>
