You seem to imply the info was given out, but then also say it was stumbled on. So that leads to the question of where he placed the info so it could be stumbled on, and who the offender(s) was whom then used it to ban people for personal reasons while pretending to be JD.

He shared his log in info for the same reason all of the other mods do. So this place could be monitored throughout the day. It takes more than 4 people to moderate a forum the size this one use to be 24 hours a day. The person he trusted is of no importance, as it wasn't that person's fault either. The trusted person forgot he had the information, when said trusted person gave his account to one of his bros. Then this bro gave it to another bro, and that bro is the one that went wonky wild with the account. I suppose the only answer as to why his information was used the way it was, was because it was funny. As you can see, said information was placed in this forum at the fault of JD and trusted friend, located by bro, and abused by bro #2 believe it or not.

So its not really JD's fault, its his trusted bro's trusted bro's fault? Why was he trusted if he was willing to pass this info along to other people? Yes, obviously this trusted bro is of importance. To listen to your view of the argument, nobody is really at fault except one guy down the line of passed along log-in info, a guy you apparently wont reveal either. Too many bro's, too little concern for the trust placed in JD to keep his mod powers safe from this type of situation. I guess we view the situation differently, as I blame everyone in that line of bro's.

If JD didn't feel he alone could properly moderate the board, he should not have taken it upon himself to appoint other people as mods as well. That was not his place, nor was he careful enough to ensure his actions would not create a problem like this. When he left the forum, instead of stepping down and allowing someone else who was active become a mod, he just left, knowing at least one other person, and possibly several, had access to his mod powers. Not very responsible, and certainly too little concern for the other members of this forum.

And yes, Im already aware JD claims he asked to have his mod powers removed, but goob failed to do so properly. If he truly had concern for the problem he created here, a simple fix would have been to change his password when leaving the forum. He did not do this, he left his mod powers in the hands of others with little or no regard for what that would do.

He did step down and let someone else take over. That's why the account was given to trusted bro. You're confused about something. He did exactly as you have suggested. Its not like he could have had someone else promoted. There's no Admin here.

Stepping down is not handing your log in info to someone you chose, and then leaving the site. Its giving up mod rights to your account so another mod would be officially named.
There seems to be plenty of times throughout the day that no admin is present, or at least not active. Spam threads and threads that eventually get deleted due to being against forum rules tend to stay up for quite a while, and then you'll see one mod come along and delete like 5-10 posts on the front page within minutes. Clearly that would indicate no mod was present for a while, and played 'catch up' when one did arrive. I dont blame mods for not being here, they have lives outside this forum. But Im not seeing the huge need to hand out log in info for mod accounts to make sure mods are always present, as this site's forums seem to go unmoderated for decent amounts of time throughout the day anyway.

I still dont understand why names are being withheld, especially since you seem to know the name of the guy who abused JD's mod privileges, but thanks for the info.

You really think me snitching would change anything? I sure dont. Im just curious why you are keeping this person a secret. This person has caused a lot of trouble on this forum, and Id like to know who it is for my own knowledge. If you know who it is, and keep that info to yourself, it can only be assumed you condone their actions. And of course JD doesn't care, that's never been in question here. Yet another reason he is, at least partially, to blame for the problem he helped create and perpetuate.

This forum is not what it was 2 years ago, but its far from dead.
