Hi from 2005!

Im still here but running stock with factory upgrade. Thinking on getting into things again. Kids getting older //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif was under wking for a while before

It's been years and recently I thought of my days when I was active in the Car Audio Community. Reminiscing the past from custom enclosures, local DB Comps, local San Diego car audio meet ups, etc. But the past couple years it seems much different now, sounds like not many people "bump" as how we used to back in the days.
What's new in this generation? Seems like more people are into their Factory Audio Systems now.

And hello to all the other vets that is still active on here.

Well, the aftermarket head unit days are practically dead. Since auto makers are integrating everything into their dashboards, it makes it practically impossible to put in an aftermarket head unit in them, That market is in it's last days...I am afraid. I am a hold out, although. I still drive a car that can have an aftermarket head unit instead of the factory one. My next car will be the same, probably a 1999 model or so. Yeah, having a brand new 2017 car would be nice, but listening to music in my car is top priority to me and you just can't get as high of SQ with factory as you can with a high end aftermarket head unit...in my opinion. After 2005 or 2006, it seems like almost every car made has complete integration in the dash. I am guessing this a big reason why Eclipse/Fujitsu Ten got out of the aftermarket business.
