I am shopping around for a sub for my 95 240sx. It is a converted drag car (going back to the streets). Chevy 327 385hp. It is loud! I gotta get a radio back in it.

I am running a cheap Rockford head unit that I only listen to rock with(am going to upgrade later). As it sits am running 2 6X9 infinity kappa perfects with small amp. I am going to install 6.5 infinity kappa perfects in the doors later. I want a clean sound. I was looking at12in Alpine R's but I don't want that much power. 350W RMS speakers will do fine. I have yet to hear type S in person. I don't need my ears to bleed or to be heard blocks away. I just want to get some bass and feel the "punch" in my back.

The trunk has a fuel cell in it so I will have to build a box to fit in the back seat around the roll cage.

Sorry of I gave TMI but details can make the difference. I also have a irrational dislike for JL and kicker.

try the memphis pr or rockford p2 on that much power.

What are you planning on doing with the Fosgate head unit when you upgrade? I would like to have it, nice collectors peice.

I haven't decided yet. My friend got an elcipse that is pretty slick. I haven't looked that hard at them yet. THe Rockford I have is am mp3 cd player and Fast and the Furious edition. I got it cheap when Ultimate electronics liquidated all their Texas stores. That is where I got my intinity's as well. I got perfect 4in and a pair boston acoustics 4in for $20 ea. I would like to use them but I don't know if it is worth it. I might build a little box on the side of my sub box for the infinity's.
