hi end Kenwood or Alpine ?

I'm looking at Alpine 7894 or a Kenwood 859.

- Is the timelapsing feature of Alpine significant?

Any comments would be appreciated

Take your favorite CD with you to the stereo shop and listen to it on both head units. You should easily be able to tell which one sounds better. If your unable to listen to them first than go with Alpine. Unless you already have a Kenwood amplifier.

My head unit is alpine and I was using a Kenwood excelon amp to power my front speakers, I replaced the kenwood amp with an Alpine amp and there was a huge difference even though they were both rated 100x2 watts rms.
