bunker, that is the wrong way to think. Do you really think your chosen religion is going to get you to heaven? You don't even acknowledge anything else, which is pretty easily proven to be more real than the bible.

The bible never says that the earth is 6,000 years old. The bible states that God made the earth in 7 days, which to us could be billions of years. I don't know, I could be wrong. I've just decided that I think I'll go waste other peoples time, who actually want to seek the word of God, than waste mine, and your time and not try and talk to someone who is to bull headed to move his stance. The main difference (other than the obvious one) between you and I, is that you are arguing to try and prove something wrong, to try and tell BILLIONS of people that they are wasting their time. I'm trying to argue to save you from burning in hell for eternity. I might sound like an ***, I might make statements that can't be backed by books, but I'm doing it all with the intention of trying to help you. But since you are sticking to your guns, I can't really do much now can I?

If abortion is contrary to God's will, why did he create people who do things against his will? Plus, why does he constantly need us mortals constant validation in the form of prayer?

Take a minute about all the other religions in the world. A majority of them have some type of "heaven" where you will go after your death if you lead a good life. Why do you think you're religion is the "correct" one? If you had been born to a Muslim family, a Jewish family, or a Hindu family you would think you're religion is right and that Christians are crazy. I was raised a Christian but the whole thing is just weird to me. Eating the flesh of Christ and drinking his blood never seemed weird to you?

God gave man the ability to choose. Its pretty simple, why would you want to create a world full of people that are like robots. Would you rather have a friend that was programmed to like you? Or would you rather have a friend that chose to like you because of who you are?

It is taught that God created man with their own free will, so as to allow them to be tested. Basically its said that God gives us the ability to question his existence, and even the reasons to do so, but we are told we must pass the test of defying logic and science in order to ascend into heaven when we die.

but how can you agree with that crap? You don't have to rely on a bible to have faith in god. That book is wrong, everything described in it is makes me tear. It will probably one day be dismissed and never talked about again because scientists are making it look more and more fictional like every year.

The Bible isn't wrong read the Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. I DARE YOU TO and see if you don't believe that the Bible is backed up on credible historical and archaeological evidence. And then if you read that I'll read whatever you point me to that has a sound argument for why the Bible is false.

Evolution isnt saying there ISNT a creator. Its just showing how life came to be on this planet.
But supposedly Adam and Eve has incestuos *** and all mankind is the result. This happened 6,000 years ago, when the earth was formed. Even though we have human remains from millions of years ago, life began 6,000 years ago. Does that make any sense?

How can someone believe the earth is 6,000 years old when we KNOW FOR 100% FACT THAT ITS BILLIONS OF YEARS OLD?

Is your whole basis for dismissing religion and the Bible the fact that it says the Earth is one age and scientists say its another? Thats pretty weak dismissing 100 truths that are supported by science because of 1 that isn't.

Its nice that you can argue something that you learned from wikipedia instead of actually reading credible books and researching instead of just retelling what you heard from someone else.

EVOLUTION IS A SCIENTIFIC FACT AND THE BIBLE IS A STORY WRITTEN BY MEN 40 YEARS AFTER THE DEATH OF IT'S SUBJECT THAT HAS BEEN TRANSLATED AND RE-INTERPRETED A THOUSAND TIMES OVER BY MEN SINCE THEN.

This was one of my strongest arguments for why I didn't really believe the Bible but its simply not true.

Actually compared to other historical documents that everyone in the scientific community holds to be true the Bible is much more reliable and well documented than 99% of them. I'll look it up later but there are many valid scientific arguments why the Bible (especially the Gospels) are true. Again read The Case for Christ or I'll even paraphrase a little of it when I get the time to look up the information. Because unlike most people on here I don't just google things and post links. I read published works by respected people on both sides of the fence.
