Hey you evolutionists...

no i'm here. I honestly don't have the knowledge to compete, so why bother? I guess I'll just continue to live my happy little Christian life(yes, Christians can enjoy life to) then just bank on chance that there might be somewhere better after this.
but how can you agree with that crap? You don't have to rely on a bible to have faith in god. That book is wrong, everything described in it is makes me tear. It will probably one day be dismissed and never talked about again because scientists are making it look more and more fictional like every year.

Was just reading that each galaxy has approximately 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars. Then the universe has trillions or trillions of trillions of galaxies.

No way it could have been chance. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

But whats the point in believing just to believe? You believe because you cant understand it? You believe because its right? You believe because you must? You believe because its the easy way out?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fideism

That sums up all religions. Especially the sentence: The fideist therefore "urges reliance on faith rather than reason, in matters philosophical and religious," and therefore may go on to disparage the claims of reason. The fideist seeks truth, above all: and affirms that reason cannot achieve certain kinds of truth, which must instead be accepted only by faith.

So if they found a 47,000,000 year old remain of what is an ancestor to modern human, that must mean that the Bible is wrong about creation, since it says the earth and life is 6,000 years old.
If the earth is 6,000 years old, how are HUMAN ANCESTORS 47,000,000 years old?

Obviously the Bible is wrong about creation.

Please. Im begging any bible thumper/religious freak to quote this and argue it.

You dont have the knowledge to compete? You cant explain why 1+1=4? Thats because it doesnt. When I have the reasoning, logic, scienfitic method, and most importantly TRUTH on my side, I cant lose. I know 1+1=2 because if you have 1, then add 1 more, you will have 2. That sounds logical to me. Why why even bother believing otherwise?

Wasn't there a theory that there is someone identical to us, in another place doing the exact same thing we are doing at this very moment?

What was it called? I can't seem to find it.

I guess i'm just nuts

What are your thoughts on that though?

The bible says the earth is 6,000 years old, we know its 4,500,000,000 years old. That would prove it wrong. So knowing without a doubt that youre wrong, you still believe?

This is a serious question, Im not trying to be an ***. I always ask my roommate this stuff and he never gives an answer.

The bible never says that the earth is 6,000 years old. The bible states that God made the earth in 7 days, which to us could be billions of years. I don't know, I could be wrong. I've just decided that I think I'll go waste other peoples time, who actually want to seek the word of God, than waste mine, and your time and not try and talk to someone who is to bull headed to move his stance. Yea, you've got facts, good, congrats. You can argue until you're blue in the face, its not going to change my opinion, and i'm sure I won't change yours.

The main difference (other than the obvious one) between you and I, is that you are arguing to try and prove something wrong, to try and tell BILLIONS of people that they are wasting their time. I'm trying to argue to save you from burning in hell for eternity. I might sound like an ***, I might make statements that can't be backed by books, but I'm doing it all with the intention of trying to help you. But since you are sticking to your guns, I can't really do much now can I?

I don't even know where I'm going with this. Guess i'm just sayin that i'm not arguing for the sake of arguing, i'm really trying to help people here.

i'm done

lol i'm assuming he's talking about matching known dates in history with events in the bible, like the crucifixion of Christ. They then date it back to about 6,000 years ago because the old testament is supposed to "start" about 4,000 years before Christ was born.
