Hey you evolutionists...

they aren't the same kind of testing i admit, but the format is the same I believe. no test in itself is universal, but the format and basis can be IMO. And if something came along that totally disproved my Jesus in my mind then I'd have to accept it and go from there. I just know that that's not gonna happen. If an alien dropped from the sky right now then I'd have some serious thinking and soul-searching to do, but until then, I'll stick with what I know.
Its your willingness to accept that it would posible to disprove Jesus that you would need to accept. Yet faith and your religion demand you keep your mind closed, that no matter how much the outside world proveds he does not exist, you are told to cling to the belief he does, and all this evidence is the work of the devil in order to test your faith. Isn't it amzing generations of evolution of your religion has honed it to such a fine point that even real-world evidence disproving your god is not real at all? Religion demands a close minded attitude on the most fundamental issues of life, this is what I find totally unacceptable.

Im talking about if a light shot down from the sky and he showed me that he was real beyond the shadow of a doubt. I want to see it with my own eyes. Or at least something that would PROVE his existance.

What has he done in your live that PROVED his existance? Dont say you are a better person after believing in him, because that doesnt PROVE his existance. Im looking for some miraculous happening that could not have happened in ANYWAY except diving intervention.

i disagree. I believe religion demands us to look at everything in life, even that which would suggest God doesn't exist then see if you still will believe. A child is *****, how could God possibly allow that if He's so powerful and just? I think that's a very VERY difficult question to answer as a Christian. the Tsunami takes place and many many people die. If God is so caring and loving why did He kill all those people? I have many questions like this and every Christian has to confront this everyday.

This has been demanded of religion for far too mny generations for them to not have developed an answer to it by now. This is where their 'faith' comes in. Faith in something that cannot be proven is their 'test' of whether or not they are worthy. And even facts that prove he does not exit, or stories of Jesus were false, are merely tests of their faith. Its a situation in which once they convince you, there is no escape. But they still like to believe they are open minded individuals.

So if you realize that it doesnt make sense and that this religion cant answer your questions, why believe in it?

Thats why I dont believe. I see that it has to many flaws and questions it cannot answer. If it was worth of my giving my life to, I would expect my questions to be answered with legitimate answers.

i guess you missed where I posted the enormous flaw in your argument aginst the big bang. Or maybe you chose to ignore it intentionally.
And I find your argument against evolution based on natural selection being a 'destuctive process' as confusing at best. How does you defining the process as descructive disprove its existance?
Missed your retort because this thread is moving so fast.

Spinning two tennis balls on a table is an erroneous rebuttal to what I posted, because you're adding your own energy to the equation. In the big bang theory, all the matter in the universe came from a single mass, and when it exploded, all that mass would go every which direction, still spinning in the same direction. There were no other forces to alter the direction in which the matter was spinning, except for the other matter, which was also spinning in the same direction.

I'm not saying that natural selection doesn't exist. Its proven that it does. I'm saying it's not a driving force behind creation.

Now I'm really leaving... got friends who just called me. Peace. Thanks for the good discussion.

i can't prove God is real to you. I never said i could and I won't try to. That's between you and God.

As for God coming down and showing Himself to us the Bible is clear that if He did, it would be so overwhelming it would literally kill us. The bible also says He did this a few times and made some people "as dead men." Besides, why does God have to prove anything to you? Does God "need" you?

why do I believe then? That's between me and God. It is worth it to me to believe and I wouldn't give God up for anything in the world.

And the answer to the **** question? It was a test of faith. Answer to the flooding? The holocaust? All tests of faith. God is omnipotent, the Devil does not have influence over him, so obviously god lets these things happen. Tests of the christian faith they call them, I call them reality checks.

So I just have to take someones word for it? Devote my entire life and state of being on a chance that has no factual or sensible basis?

well-said, except for the fact that God allows the devil to do alot. For instance Job. The devil asked God if he could do all that stuff to Job and God said yes. How dare God! and the devil still does this everyday to every believer. God must really think He's got it going on if He thinks believers will still believe with this known huh
