Hey you evolutionists...

Sigh. This has degenerated into yet another religion-bashing thread. Happens every time.
/thread

Peace out.
.

No offense cause I like you...but the religions bring it upon themselves cause they cant leave it out of the discussion. The opening post was a troll on Evolution and then the follow up was by Christians trying to further troll...yes, when you come in and blind state to ensite heated discussion its trolling.

So after you have shared your testimony if I wish to converse and stress my concerns youre going to leave me hanging? Cause you earlier said it was not your job nor were you good at defending him.
no I'll address your concerns, but that doesn't mean i have to defend him. I can answer your questions but at the end of the day either you believe or you don't. that's what I love about God. It is a personal relationship. You don't know God through anyone but yourself and only you can decide if you are for HIm or you don't believe in Him. But I can answer Q's all day everyday if I have the time

Laughable! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif:rolleyes://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif:rolleyes:

So if there wasn't some supreme deity in the sky who created all of us, we would have no reason to feel remorse for a death? You confuse religion with basic human instinct. Humns felt pain, emotional loss, love, hate, apathy, etc... all LONG before your disciple ever descended to Earth.
having a reason doesn't mean you will feel. for instance my wife could die tomorrow and I would have a reason to feel pain, but that doesn't mean I will. People die everyday, that's a reason to feel pain but that doesn't mean I do.

Same with hate and any other emotion. someone stole a battery out of my shipment to dave_damage. I had a reason to hate the perp but that doesn't mean I have to

If God is real, why doesnt he make himself known? He should come down from "heaven (lol)" and make believers out of us. Why doesnt he? Dont even tell me free-will because thats a BS answer, because we would have free-will to believe him or not.
Still waiting for an answer.

sorry i meant to get back to that but lost it. Free will is part of it, but slavery has much more to do with it. God doesn't want slaves. God doesn't want to force us to believe in HIm nor believe in Him only because of Him doing some miraculous works. Why? our humanity will resent God for it or then wonder if there's someone/something even bigger and better than God out there

while I can't convince you that I am being open-minded I have taken every argument you and everyone else has given. alot of what you say makes sense, I never said it didn't. But just because some makes sense doesn't mean I have to believe it all. Same with religion, some makes sense, but that doesn't mean people need to say "oh then its all true" right off the bat. That'd be foolish and I don't expect that from anyone. I'm not trying to convert any of you into christians, just continuing the great debate. the reason I know i won't be convinced otherwise of whether God is real or not to me is the reason you feel u won't be convinced otherwise of evolution. You've tested it for yourself and it works for you. i've tested God in my heart and He works for me. He gives me joy and peace that nothing in this world can provide. I'll stick with that
Actually, if a more accurate theory came aloong, id drop the theory of evolution in a heart beat. Again, Im after truth, not support of 'my' side of the debate here. I just find it disingenuous to equate your form of 'testing' to scientific testing. You are trying to draw similarities tht simply exist only in your mind in order to justify your faith.

You dont have all the answers? You apparently dont have a single one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Write me a paper? How about a sentence? I can state any major scientific theory in one sentence, what is your major malfunction? You realize that by now you've 'written a paper' on why you wont be bothered writing out anything, right? Come on man, you are really transparent. Im not buying any of this for a new york second.
If you want a sentence, look a few pages back. I posted a reason I don't believe in the big bang. Want a reason I don't believe in evolution? Natural selection is not a creative process. It is a destructive process. Creatures that are not desirable die. Natural selection selects, like its name implies. It does not create.

I agree. I kept religion out of it for the sake of argument. Only to have it ruined by someone else.

What in the world does you being abnormally apathetic to your wife's death have to do with the existance of god?

Thats stupid. We still have free will to not believe in him. If he is powerful, cant he come down and just show that he is real? I know that if he came down and proved himself to be real that I would believe. I go by what is real, and if he came down and proved it, I would definately know he is real and give this whole religion thing a second thought.

Your arguement is rediculous. Thats like saying "I know the answer, but I want to see if you know it first".

they aren't the same kind of testing i admit, but the format is the same I believe. no test in itself is universal, but the format and basis can be IMO. And if something came along that totally disproved my Jesus in my mind then I'd have to accept it and go from there. I just know that that's not gonna happen. If an alien dropped from the sky right now then I'd have some serious thinking and soul-searching to do, but until then, I'll stick with what I know.

i guess you missed where I posted the enormous flaw in your argument aginst the big bang. Or maybe you chose to ignore it intentionally.

And I find your argument against evolution based on natural selection being a 'destuctive process' as confusing at best. How does you defining the process as descructive disprove its existance?

Would alien life disprove Jesus?

you've been around this forum in particular to know that alot that appears real is fake and alot that is claimed fake is in fact real. If God were to come down with all His glory I'm sure half the world would say "oh that's BS someone's playing a trick on us to get us to believe in this God." That's how we humans are, either very skeptical, very gullible or somewhere in the middle. i mean look at photoshop
