I agree, after shopping, the amps are the only things that are even reasonable. I dont like how the 450/4 and 500/1 are such different sizes though.

im telling you man, Dynaudio, Audison and ID
MBQ aint what they use to be and they werent better then Dyn or Audison anyway.

for the amps? This is the first ive heard of this. What kind do you have in your setup? On what do you base this statement?

I'd get an audison lrk5.1, get a set of I'd xs65 and an idmax 12...for rear fill maybe a set of Id xs69

Go w/ the HD amps.

Those kick ***. I had a customer with a good budget and did 4 HD amps in his truck. Things are NICE!

also, JL gets not love on this site, its good stuff but this site is geared more towards budget type stuff

i sort of disagree. about the budget thing. I wouldnt consider ap or dd to be budget and this forum raves over both. I would say this forum is geared to value ie finding the best performance for a given budget. rd, fi, re, ap, dd, etc all make some of the highest performance gear available regardless of cost. DD and ap being more towards the jl side but with more of a reason for higher pricing. Not sure how others feel but i would compare an ap axis to a w7 in terms of build quality and performance. axis 12's go for ~$300, W7 12's goes for ~$400.

Basically theres better equipment than jl makes for less money.

DNX9140 with all the fittings, christmas will come with amps and components. Thanks for all the help guys,

Also just to set a price point, i ordered mine today for $1296 from an authorized dealer. Pretty good deal considering it is now 1899 again.

Got a new DD head unit from the Kenwood Excelon line, DNX9140 with nav and all the goodies(bluetooth, album art, DVD playback, 5.1 support, 13 channel EQ, etc.), JDM DD bezel kit, satellite radio (SIRIUS), backup camera, ipod cable (still in the mail), adapters and lits of wires //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Unfortunately they would only deliver to a registered address for my debit card, so all of it but the sirius stuff and DD kit are at home in KC. Ill take pics when i get it in the car toward the end of next week! CANT WAIT!!!
