He didn't mention my components as "baby milles" but who knows... I notice the mlk165 mid gets lower @ 35hz and its a different tweet. I have heard both setups and I promise nobody can justify spending the extra money on the MLK 2's.

I guess i'll find out. I'm about 99% made up my mind on gettin gthe MLK 2's. I'll be replacing mb quart qsd 216's that are 3-4 years old now. My right tweeter is starting to buzz, so it's just a matter of time before I have to make a decision.

those ml2 and ml3 crossovers are ridiculous! it MAKES a person want to go passive lol

Yea being 28 and single, I got money to spend on dumb stuff like that. I've heard some rainbows that go for what 8 10 g's? Now that is insane. 2g's for speakers, that's about as high as I am going to go. I don't do shows or anything, I just want to get a pair of speakers put them in and not have to worry about them for awhile. Well I finally got them in my car. A big up grade from the mb quart qsd 216's. Big difference.

I've finally had some time to break them in and man do they really shine. At about the same time my sub amp died and was out for service. For the first few weeks I was driving around with no sub, but because of the midbass, and the music I listen to it sounded great. Now with a 10w7 working again in the trunk it is almost 2 much base. I'll have pictures up soon when I put the leds in the crossovers. I have them just mounted in my trunk now opposite my sub woofer.

The Big thing I notice is that now I can turn the speakers up pretty loud and it just sounds better and better. The mq quarts, where just real harsh and would hurt my ears. I'm hearing things that I never heard before on certain tracks. Most of the stuff I listen to is classic rock, but I'm guessing that any type of music would sound amazing on the MLK2's.

How did you end u with the Focal speakers? They had them at tweeter but I just wanted to go with something different.
