hertz sub question

Hey guys I've been putting a huge amount of thought into upgrading from hertz dieci 300.1 subs to the HX 300.5d subs and I really do want the sq more than anything but will 2 of these subs rattle my car apart in a good way (if possible lol) like I have no way of demoing these subs sadly but the dieci subs really make my car shake but will these hx be super clear and be felt much much more? Is it worth the 600$ for new subs. Just need reassurance. Are these the best upgrade price wise for me

The rattling thing will be largely dependent on the enclosure. Those hertz subs look great, if you're getting both for $600, that's great. I would also consider IA flatlyne - I gave them much thought before I bought mine. Of course, I absolutely love my subs:

B2 Audio REF12 12" D4 Subwoofer - Xplicit Audio

The B2s definitely hit the lows, Fs is 20Hz. You can see the info in my sig as to the box. With 2 600W 12s in a good box, plenty of power - you should get some decent output.

If you have some extra power, TC sounds LMS-R is also an awesome sub.

Very hookedton hertz I've heard a variety of subs and hertz style is my favorite the punchy bass their subs produce is my style I suppose. 2012 ford focus sedan the wiring I believe is a 0 gage of some sort (been a while) I run a 4 channel mtx to my kappa (62.9 & 63.9) at abt 350 rms total I believe the current sub amp is a kicker 500.1 will need to be replaced. If I do not do new amp wiring I need to grab a Compositor to limit headlight dimming (as I kinda already have that) the box I have is a "bomb 12' box" cheap knock off of a probox I guess. Not ported just rhino lined. Produces some solid bass. Any more info needed

Something is set up wrong if you have voltage issues. I'm a Hertz fan but being real, any sub can be punchy like you are saying. That box is the problem

Not to sure it's a voltage issue. I am pulling a large amount of watts for the stock alternator I have. My question is, are the hx 300.5 good enough to perform in a sq competition and is the bass going to be much more than that of the deici (which already sound very clear and very full as they are right now). My mids and highs (infinity kappa 62.9i and 63.9i with hertz dt 25 tweeter) have the ability to over power my deici and drown them out. Which I hold them back at the moment but right now the subs are my bottle neck. I would like to be able to crank that **** up more and cause more deafening sound and still maintain the clarity that they have now. And eventually want to upgrade to high end focal/hertz doorspeakers. Which I know for a fact the diecis I have now cannot keep up with those. Are the hx 300.5d dual coil the best I can get sq wise for 300 each or is there a clear head and shoulders above the rest sub for sq at that price mark that will maintain under 1500 watts rms total. Trying to not have to buy a better alternator and only maybe have to redo the wiring of it. Excuse me for my noobness I'm obviously new at this but I am hopeful one day I learn enough to perform at sq competitions.

What's bad abt caps I've heard they help with bass response because the voltage that is generally lost btwn the battery and the amp is actually preserved because it is saved in the cap till the sub needs it. Maybe I was miss informed if so pls tell me I am not stubborn I am very open to most all of you because of my lack of experience. Thank you guys for your time and input

Usually, an extra battery in the back, along with the big 3, will serve you alot better than a cap ever could. The biggest agm battery under the hood, along with one in back, close to the amp, is probably the best option before upgrading the alt. Worked wonders for my set up.

Its not just the sub man. Its everything in the system. Literally any sub can produce the accurate punchy sound you want given the proper enclosure. Look into a T-line enclosure before tossing more money down the drain. Box Determines how the subs sound. An expensive 600 dollar subwoofer in a crappy pre-made box bought off amazon or ebay will either sound like sh*t or very underwhelming with the output. A cheapo 8 inch subwoofer with a very good and properly designed box can probably destroy your hertz sub easily in all aspects(bandwidth, punchiness, loudness). You obviously never heard a proper system before so if you dont believe the box makes the biggest impact in your bass, go hit up some sound quality competitions and some SPL competitions and see how proper subwoofer setups are done.

Here's a video of what a 6.5" sub in a proper box can do on only 90 watts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV56EshlI10

Capacitors do next to nothing for the price you are paying. They dont store enough power to make a difference nor do they produce power. Upgrade your under the hood battery to an AGM battery like an XS power, northstar, odyessey or deka battery. Look up what "the big 3 upgrade" is and perform that too.

You are not running near enough power to have big voltage issues. As Jeff said, you need to demo some good cars. With a SQ setup you are not using much power, you just need to have enough ready when its needed for dynamics.
alright im sold so
Big 3
T-Line box <- ganna have to do some research lol - do you guys no anyone who build these custom? ive recently gotten into wood cutting and lets just say i cannot build this yet lol
Bigger battery in the front
and what size battery would you guys recommend for the back

how can i find a voltage issue what tools are needed?
any digital multi-meter from walmart or sears, should be less than 20 bucks. @CSCStang does T-lines. You can either get blueprints or he can build/ship to you.

Pretty sure you only need a good agm under the hood and the big 3. You should get those in and measure voltage drops while playing first before putting in a 2ndary battery because If you are still dropping hard at that point, you might need a stronger alt instead. However i'm pretty sure its not that bad.

thank you guys so much cant wait to do all of this!
didnt realize a properly ported box could make that much of a difference lol
The T-line is not a magic box, trade off is that it takes up a lot of room. A 12 inch box will be as big as a 15" box, if you cant fit a pair of 15s in your car, you can only do a single 12 in a t-line
