HERTZ Speakers

That means absolutely nothing. It has already been established that the idiots in that magazine install every speaker the exact same way, while some speakers shine at playing off axis, and ect..
Thats why we have said install is the key to success.

My point is don't say something is better than another if you have not even heard them. He is saying focal is the best and that is very subjective. I personally perfer silk dome tweeters more natural and smoother sound. But others may perfer the brighter sound of the titanium or metal dome tweeters. To each there own.

While I agree with your point, would your other statement be quite broad? Not all soft domed tweets are the same, nor are all hard domed. I can appreciate your general statement, but without hearing ALL, it would still be too broad to pass judgement on one or the other.

Ive had my Hi-Energies in for about a week or two and i like em a lot. Mid bass is strong and quit punchy. Tweets are smooth as hell and ive yet to find a song thats gives that"piercing" sound. I jus wish they were a lil louder, but that could be me cause i **** at tunning:/

I said that in your quote? Wow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

HSK are the midlevel but they have a all new MLK165 which are now just under the Mille setup they are talking about. It uses similar midbass driver to the MLK2 but a simulare tweeter to the HSK.

That is the set up that that they were refering to in the other thread. So I guess I should have said a step under the Mille set. They have not updated their website but I had thought these are going to be replacing the High energy series HSK165.

What I had gotton from Hertz was the Milles are the MLK2 and MLK3. Which are ML1600 (Drivers), ML280 (Tweerters) and the ML500R (ribon mids).

The ML165 have a cheaper cost point. They also have a different build. But I could have misunderstood. I put in a call to confirm this information and will let you know what they said.

You do realize that the MLK 165s ARE Milles right?
You were right. It is still the Mille series. They mad a few minor changes to bring it to a lower price point. This site had some insight on it.

They should still be an amazing setup. I might have to pick up a set to install in my truck. I will wait till Veit gets his installed and post his take on them. But even the High Energy series sound amazing. So I have high expectations on these.

Have you heard them 6spd. Do you also know what the differences is between the ML280 and 280S tweeters are? Is it just for the small chamber version.

Of course I was right, its my job as a dealer ! Please dont take offense here, Im just bustin balls. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

280 and 280S both offer variable chamber. The S is for Signature - symetrically matched set.
