Hertz ESK 165

Someone offered me these comps for $175 [which I thought was a good deal].

I'm just not sure how well they perform.

Odds are it's an upgrade, seeing how I have like the lowest line of CDT right now [Which I'm extremely unhappy with due to it's lack of quality and lack of ability to get loud with out distorting to all hell]

Any other suggestions on some decently cheap comp sets?

Willing to pay like $200-300 for comps @ like ~100-RMS

[They'd be run off a JBL GTO 75.4 II 104x4 @ 4-ohms]

for the price the hertz were a good buy new ones just came out and sound amazing. if you really want to spend a bit more around $275 THE AVI speakers will also do the job both speakers will run perfect for the power youre putting to them. Avi speaker a little bit more mid-bass but brighter tweeter, Hertz softer tweeter but less midbass depends which one youre looking for

I'm looking for a nice mix of SPL and SQ, AKA right in the middle.

i would probably go with the Avi because they can handle the power if you really want a nice set the Hertz Hsk 165 is one of the best speakers in the market but retail for about $450
