Yea it really doesnt matter too much about the size will have a lil diffrence but not one that you could really tell. Is your sub a dual voice coil sub if so is your amp 2ohm stabel what size, kind of box do you have the sub in is your gain turned up is the sub bridged is your cd players eqs been tweeked to match the gains on your amp? All this plays a important factor in your system sounding like it should if you find out all this info reply back and I will be glad to help you out.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...
