help with subs

i'm looking at getting one 12 or maybe 2 10's and my head is spinning with options. i'd originally been looking at the diamond audio m6 or the jl w6v2 but with some research i've also come up with adire brahma, elemental A or O series and the image dynamics. i'd never heard of any of these before, are they as good as the big name stuff? i'm looking for a good sq sub but also want it to hit you in the chest when i want. i've got a ppi pcx-2200 to run the sub(s), it runs 2x200@4 ohms, 2x400@2 ohms and 1x800@4 ohms bridged(has to stay at 4 ohms when bridged).
