installed in my jeep right now i have the mtx audio terminator sub package the amp and box all came together the thing is its never been able to hit the low end bass notes Im guessing because they are low quality subs, but anyways im wondering if i upgrade to more expensive subs but keep everything else the same (box, amp) will it perform any better or would i have to get a new amp and box... i just want subs that dont ever miss certain frequency for example on some songs my subs will move but no sound will come out like 'put on' by young jeezy it cant hit 75% of the bass notes but i can hear them moving.. any info will help thnks i didnt know where else to post this

No. Not with the results you're wanting. You need a custom box tuned lower than the pre-fab. Do you know the specs on that amp?
RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 150 watts x 1 chan.

2 ohms: 250 watts x 1 chan.

Max power output: 600 watts x 1 chan.

LED power and protection indicators

Selectable bass boost (0, 6, 12 dB at 40 Hz)

Mono gain control

Smart engage auto turn-on circuitry

Variable low-pass filter (40-400 Hz, 12 dB/octave)

Variable high-pass filter (40-400 Hz, 12 dB/octave)

CEA-2006 compliant amplifier

Maximum input signal: 6V

Maximum sensitivity: 100 mV

Frequency response: 20-30,000 Hz

Dimensions: 12-1/4"L x 7-1/8"W x 2-1/4"H

You can do a lot with 500$ How much space would you be willing to give up?
i would like to go the cheapest route possible, but i want to make it sound better clearer louder like not limited to only new subs if a dif amp or box would achieve the same thing with my current subs then id do that

You really have a TON of options to think about. You could go with 8's, 10's, 12's even a 15 and come out with much better output, clarity, and dig deep like you want. The box is really what's going to make or break the wa it all sounds though. Plenty of awesome box builders on this site can design, build, and ship you a awesome box built to spec of your sub/new sub/s.

What size is the current sub?

do you think a single 15 sub of a higher quality and better box would do it without leaving me with less bass like not as loud as 2 12s i had? leaving the amp the same

send me a pm and i'll try to help you out .i'm not allowed to give prices on this thread .but i can make suggestions. 2 12's custom box and new amp .like i said pm me for details .if interested .

Possibly, but only because it will be in a custom box built to subs specs. 2 12's have more cone area though so you might not notice to much difference in output compared to a 15 on the same amp. IMO you need to upgrade the amp as well. If you're interested in a 15 though, a SSA dcon 15 would be great on your budget. You can probably get the DCON 15, a box built, and new amp for 500 + or -
