So my Explorer was broken into last week and got my head unit, 12 kicker sub, and 1000Watt Kicker amp stolen.
I decided I wanted to put a nice system in there and need some help on how to install (with alarm system this time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif ).
Heres the main components that I just bought from crutchfield and cardomain.com:
1. Infinity 6 channel amp (5760A) : RMS: @ 4 Ohms: (56W x 4) + (107W x 2)
2. Infinity mono sub amp (611a) RMS: 456W x 1 @ 4 ohms
3. 3 way Pioneer 6X8 speakers (TS-A6881R) RMS: 50W 4ohms (For Front seat)
4. Polk 6X8 speakers RMS: 50W 4 ohms (For back seat)
5. Infinity Kappa (32.7cf) 3.5 inch speakers RMS: 35W 2 ohms
6. Infinity kappa 12 inch subwoofer (124.7w) RMS: 350W 2 or 8 ohms
7. Polk 6X9 3-Way Speakers (db690) RMS: 100W 4 ohms (For cargo area)
8. 4 gauge Streetwire amp kits for both amps
9. 14 gauge Streetwires speaker wire
10. JVC KDHDR1 CD player with 3 preamp outputs
I KNOW I could have just gone with the 6 channel amp but I want a seperate amp for my subwoofer. My main help needed is regarding the 6-channel amp.
What I would like to do is have the pioneers in the front, polk 6X8 in the back seat ,and then the polk 6X9 in the cargo area by the sub. The amp has three RCA inputs labeled front, back, and sub. I don't want to hook my sub up to this. I want my 6X9's to use the amplifiers sub power. The speakers RMS is rated at 100 and the amplifier sub part is rated at 107W. Can I do this? Would I have to split my REAR rca cable so that I can plug it into the amplifiers rear and sub rca ports?
How can I put the Kappa 3.5 inch speakers into this amplifer? Can I just tie them with the back seat or fron seat speakers or is that a bad idea? What if I just hooked them up to the wire that is currently going to my front speakers since my front speakers will be going through my amp? They are $100 speakers and I REALLY want to use them so please don't say they arent necessary. I got a good deal on them and thats why I bought them.
So basically I need to know how I can put all 8 speakers efficiently into the 6 channel amp.
I know most the basics to car stereo but that is about it! Please don't tell me how I bought too much stuff or the wrong stuff because its not going to help me out!
Also, do you recommend a capacitor?
Thank you!!!!
