Help with alpine type x

hey guys i have a question. I have a 12in alpine type x and im running it on a crunch 1000w amp but i dont think its really getting 1000w's. Anyway when i play certain songs the sub kind of pops, it doesnt make a bass sound. It also doesnt move much. Iv seen some videos on youtube where the subs almost jump out the box. Mine only moves about 1/4 of an inch. Is there something wrong with the sub or my amp

i'm no expert, but i want to say that crunch amps are not very good.

Probably sending it a clipped signal..

Or you could possibly have it wired wrong.

lol you should think about switchin amps first if anything, but like mentioned above, maybe its wired wrong or something, i would try all i could to get it soundin nice before i swapped stuff out
