Ok i have an alpine cda 9885 head unit installed with a wiring harness into a ford probe and it worked great for a month or two but then it started cutting out when the volume is turned up or during the loud parts in a song. I figured it was just some uninsullated wires touching in back because i used to crank the volume with no problem. however ive taken the unit out and all the wires back to the speaker wire harness, and the one that leads back behind the steering column are fine. I rearranged some of the wires and it worked for a month or two until i hit a bump in the road and it now is worse than before. The head unit powers off and back on whenever i use brakes, wipers, or almost anything else that uses electricity. It reacts like a power supply problem but it didnt happen until i turned hard or hit a bump in the road (knocking some wires loose or somethign?) Ive had this problem for awhile now and have no idea what could be wrong. Does anybody here have any idea or experience with this type of problem?
