ok my HU (Pioneer deh5500) has two sets of rcas out. one is (front or rear, im not sure which, doesnt matter) and the other is a sub out. How can i get both rca inputs on my jl 300/4 to be occupied when i only have 1 pair of rcas from the hu? I know the jl 300/4 can be run all 4channels off of 1set of rcas but i try this feature and it doesnt work out right.

my question is, do i need RCA splitters, or Y splitters, or RCA Y cables or what? Basically i need 1pair of RCAs from my head unit to turn into 2pairs :-/ thanks a lot.

not sure about the amp, but some amps have a daisy chain out. which that you contact the out to the input of the other channels. if it doesn't have that option, you will need a splitter.

well my sub amp (kicker kx 1200) has a rca output but i think its lowpass only.

anyways, what do i goto buy? do i just goto like best buy and buy "rca splitters"? or is there a formal name for them?

any output should be a preamp output. which means it is the same signal comign out of your HU. but you should just get the splitters so split the signal to both rca inputs. if this was for full range speakers then you would need to seperate the rear and front RCAs so you would have to run two sets of RCAs.

if its a sub then just use the splitters.

I can get you these. For $5 each. plus two more dollars to ship ($12).

John

wow another thing that the wire companies have taken and put a color on and doubled the price on.... ICK!

its like 1/0 guauge wire for .95 a foot from the welding companies while its like 2-3 form anywhere in the car audio world.

nothing against you just stating the obvious.

These are fully shielded and the connectors on the end freakin rock. They have split cuts so they won't come loose. There are three or four people on here who have them from me, NGSM or something and sammy1.

naw man i was just saying mine are shielded and they were 2.99 and they connect just fine. no reason to spend 5 bucks plus shipping. but they didnt look as good as yours though.....

i just got some from radioshack...cost like 8$ total. doesnt matter to me cause amp is under my seat so you dont see the install anyways.
