Help please.

in my car i have a Rockford P3 with a kicker 1200.1 and i have very little sound coming from my rockford. today i went ahead and put a fuse between my battery and my amp just incase because i just installed the new amp. as well as reworking my ground wire. and putting new RCA cables in. the problem is when i had my lanzar hooked up it hit. hard. i went through and redid the cables back to what it was and still no luck. i even put the lanzar back in and it still sounds crappy. when i put my test up to different plugins and they all were doin fine. and now i'm at a loss. even when i turn my gain and boost all the way up (i know thats bad) it still doesn't make any sound worth hearing and you have to put your head next to the sub to even hear it. i've reworked everything back to the way it was and even running what i had it still sounded like nothing. what could be wrong?
