If your vehicle has an 80 amp alt, you'll need to upgrade if you're interested in a moderately high powered audio system. And the general rule of thumb for batts is 100 ah per 1,000 watts rms. That's not a pinpoint accurate ratio, but rather a ballpark figure that many people stick to. For example, if you're running between 1,800 and 2,200 watts rms you'll want a nice batt with an ah rating of 200 or so. I'm sure some guys would argue with that statement, but I've never had a problem with it...to be honest i am not sure and cant find it on google for the short minute i looked, waht kind of batt up front should i get? i believe 80a tho
Maybe, I'd stick with kinetik and get the HC1800.hmm ok well i can get a really good deal on a stinger spv40 would that be ok for under the hood and the hc800 in the back?
You get what you pay for...I wouldn't do it but it's ^2u.
That's a good price if it'll actually do what it claims, but I'd visit http://www.mechman.com and http://www.dcpowerinc.com before purchasing an alt. Those companies have great reputations for the most part...
