Help Please!!!

JoeSmith502 and I just installed a 18"xxx setup in a 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I have a 7 1/2 cube ported box with everything correctly setup.

The sub is firing toward the rear tailgate, but it seems to me that b/c the box is so big the air is not getting up to me.

So we stood the box up with the sub firing upward...and that beat the hell out of the roof and sounded distorted, once again b/c the sub is soo close to the roof.

Would sound be distorted if the box was turned toward me with the seats down, where the air from the port would be coming straight into the car.??? any ideas or suggestions let me know!!! thx
