Ok so long story short, the guy who was finishing my panels skipped town for 2 months, and left me with this mess.

They cracked while sitting in the garage "I GUESS", and so now I have to figure out how to fix this.

Before I pay someone to fix it, I figured I'd ask if you guys thought it would be worth while.

They are made with some type of body filler I believe.. Anyways, here's the damage:

you paid someone to do that to those door panels? I think you are going to be better off finding replacement panels. When you look for some one to do that kind of work ask for the name and number of a few prior customers and ask to see how their stuff looked after a few years.

fawk me:confused:

no matter how hard you try you can not polish a turd

you should clean those plastic rings up if possible..take all that

filler off..clean it up best you can and make MDF rings and stretch

a bit of fleece...

The problem seems to be he only used filler.Using all the filler when it dried it shrank and pulled away from the plastic. You could try to salvage those with some FG and resin.
x2

i hope you didnt pay him to do that...

i would highly suggest finding someone else to do it if you are not capable. if you think you are capable, start reading some fiberglass how-to's and give it a go yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
