Help on a new system please

Hey easy Loud3 i'm not suggesting the R at all for his application. I'm 17 and wanted to get loud, so I got 2 12" R's for $165 shipped, which was exactly what I wanted. When I turn my R down for normal listening, I love the way it sounds. But if you are going for SQ alone, I agree the R is NOT for you.

Have you already picked up your head unit, Tony?

If not, you can pick it up reasonably over at SSA too. It's very possible you could turn that into a one stop shop.

Man, I am really digging that 2nd set you showed me!! Yes, I got my deck already installed, got it off newegg.com for $307 total last week. It looks like $330 on SSA but they offer a one year warranty, I only got 30-days from newegg. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I guess I could return it, something to think about for the warranty. I just need to find a box now but I really appreciate everyone's help, especially Loud3, I got my system baby!

UPDATE:

I got my Alpine 600.1 amp and AA Arsenal 12d4 today from UPS, missed the amp yesterday but the wife worked a half day to come home and sign, hehe. Vitveet built me a box specifically for the AA and it's looks beautiful, it was just shipped so it's time to wire up the amp baby, lol. Thanks to Loud3 for his help and V for the box, awesome job man!! (sorry for the crappy camera phone pics, lol)

UPDATE:

Thank you V!!!! It fits perfect in my trunk back, goes nice and snug right up to my back seats. I'm going to get it up and running this weekend and I will let you know how it sounds, thanks again for your hardwork, it's a beautiful box, really nice job and the double baffle was definitely worth it, you gotta do it. Oh man, the excitement, I can't wait!! Thanks again V!!

update:

FINALLY!! Got the sub installed this weekend, took for f-ing ever but it was worth doing yourself than paying although it cost me about 10 trips to the hardware store and home depot. I took last Thursday off and worked 8:30 am to 1:30 am, lol, took part of Friday off and used the whole weekend except when it spent time getting the IMPRINT software on Saturday. WOW does that software make a difference, unbelievable and I am definitely glad I did that as the sound is a lot more clean. The sub is hitting nice with the seats down, real haaaaard.

Thanks again V and Loud3 for your help on my system, I am definitely satisfied with what I did and all the hard work, now I will look to build from here. Get a amp for the inside next, for sure.

Maybe I missed it, but did you end up getting the PDX 4.100 too? Box and everything looks really good man. Congrats...

I did not buy the 4.100 yet but thanks for asking, since I was doing the install myself I wanted to keep it simple for now since I wasn't going to do the Big 3 or get a new alternator (my Neon only does 80a) and I didn't know what two amps would do to my ride.

However, my next project will be adding a four channel amp but I'll probably have the local place here do it since he can swing me a deal on the 4.100. The owner I met there (twice) was awesome, he had no problems explaining things to me and even told me not to buy a couple of the things I was there for since he said I would be fine without them, he's been a great help and I think in return I'll support their shop and get a amp/install there. It's a couple of local guys who moved away and came back to be home, great shop and great owners. They don't mind you asking dumb questions either. That is where I did my IMPRINT software and it was definitely worth it!!
