Help needed

Starting from scratch. 03 Acura cls. Just bought Focal 165A1 component system for front fill. I now have $1000 to work with. Was considering getting a Boston 600w x2. Amp (125w@4ohms for the focals. I was planning on buying focal 6x9s (690cvx) for 150 bucks but a friend told me to stay away from 6x9s n throw another component system in the deck. The comp system was also 150. Any thoughts??

Sorry, for the rear fill i was also gonna power it with an identical amp. Also 2 Boston G1 series in BA ported box. (Sonicelectronix base/box,amp +sound deadener paackage $328) same BA amp 250wx2 @2ohms for the subs. Need some good advice thanks!

is adding another comp system to rear deck a good idea? Are these the best components in that price range? ($150) ..what would u do if u already bought the focal comp system and had $1000 left to work with??

depends on your wants and needs ,what subs how many ,power for subs and components .you dont need components in the rear ,just mids for fill by the way . also do you plan on any electrical upgrades as well.i need this info so i can direct you to the best possible equipment for your money .

this is what i'd do ,the focals in the front doors, deaden the doors ,1 or 2 subs in the rear in a custom ported box ,say 1 12 ,a 1500 - 2200 watt rms amp for the sub and 100 x 2 or 4 rms + amp for the front components. run the rears off the deck power ,0 gauge wire all around and the big 3 , possibly a better battery or even a second battery next to the amp .

some people like the vocals all around them and some like it to sound like their at a concert

BA G1 subs are great little subs for the $, for a little while I ran 2 12s on 900w rms, they are way under rated in terms of power handling and will handle 500w each no prob




Did over 140db with them in a mazdaspeed 6 on a mtx 1501d
