Hello to all, I have a question regarding my 6 hour ago installation of some new subwoofers into my 1994 4cyl pontiac firefly.
Two 8" Mobile Authority Subwoofers along with a GX 2180 200 watt amp.
Whenever I get a deep bass note or a song with more bass, the lights dim, because there's not enough power being drawn in.
I know there's the battery/alternator check, but I dont think I can get an alternator that puts out more than 55 ampere...
But the 200 watts I've got running off my deck into my interior speakers along with the 200 watts for the subs shouldn't draw enough to dim lights right?
Should I look at a capacitor? What about installing a new battery in the trunk and connecting the amp to it's low battery along with a capacitor?
I'm totally new to this, and I'm lost.
